Through the very walls of her home, Keesha felt his stare warm her.  Unblinking and intense, she knew that Jason’s gaze was fixated on the place where she sat. Despite her determination not to, she rose from her seat and edged toward the window.  One quick glance out confirmed what she already knew to be true.

Jason sat under the shelter of the big oak tree.  Just where she had left him.  ‘I’m not going anywhere,’  he had said when Keesha told him she needed time to think.  She should have known that this Jason meant the words quite literally.

Keesha raised a trembling hand to her lips.  The taste and feel of Jason was as potent now as it had been earlier when he had captured her mouth.  If she had harbored any questions about just who he was, his kiss had answered them all.  He was Jason Morgan.

Jason Quartermaine had been Keesha’s first lover.  And she, his.  They had fumbled lovingly through that first time to discover the dance that so many couples throughout the millennia had perfected.  Their intimate moments, though both ardent and passionate, were nonetheless performed with a care that was based upon a foundation of commitment.

The kiss she received from the Jason waiting outside was oh so different!  It was a knowing man’s kiss, filled with a wealth of promise.  With merely a kiss, Jason Morgan had spoken a thousand words.  His lips told her of his desire for her.  His tongue signaled his intentions for possession.  Jason promised, without saying a word, that intimacy between them would not be a genteel, careful dance, but a mindless, unrestrained encounter.

The thought alone loosed a flood of liquid warmth in Keesha’s lower belly, and she shifted uncomfortably in her seat.  It was obvious that experience had taught Jason Morgan certain lessons that he wished to share.  Yes,’ her mind told her cattily, ‘and Carly Benson was one of those experiences.’  Keesha shook the disturbing thought from her mind.  She would not let the likes of Carly influence her decision.  This was all about Jason and her.

Did she have the courage to take that leap of faith and allow Jason Morgan into her life?  He had made no promises to love her, only to take the steps to try.  Could she live with the pain if he never did?  Or would their time together be worth it all?  Sighing, Keesha left her place at the window and stepped back outside.

At her appearance, Jason rose and watched her walk his way.  His expression, as stoic as it had been from the first moment he appeared, did not change.   “Well?” he asked evenly.

Keesha took a deep breath and leapt.
